Winter Elopement at The Mayflower Inn

Alyssa and Jeff chose to stay close to home in Connecticut for their elopement day, but they didn’t want to miss out on their experience, so they opted to get married at The Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Connecticut. The northwest corner of Connecticut is home to the scenic foothills of the Berkshires and a gorgeous spot to get married.

Alyssa’s sister is one of our past couples so we were honored to be part of their day as well! With the inn already confirmed we were so excited to photograph their intimate elopement at this beautiful, historic luxury property. A couple hours before we arrived we drove through snow squalls which turned the Mayflower into a winter wonderland. Right before their ceremony it started to snow again heavily. Alyssa and Jeff looked at each other and agreed that what better time to get married than in the snow. We loved their adventurous spirit and how they braved the cold.

The rest of the day was full of laughter, lots of champagne, and a little hike in the forest on surrounding conservation land.
