Kancamagus Highway & Franconia Notch Elopement

When Becky and Michael started planning their elopement day, they were stumped. With so many beautiful places in the White Mountains to choose from for their fall elopement, how do you decide? All of the gorgeous places they wanted to visit as part of their microwedding with their closest family members weren’t to far apart, so we decide to go to several of the places on their list!

The day began at Becky & Michael’s beautiful airbnb in Campton, NH. As we drove up the mountain the cabin was situated on we were in awe of the gorgeous view we had. After photographing the most beautiful elopement details lovingly curated by Becky, and their first look outside the cabin we set off to visit Franconia Notch State Park before the ceremony. We stared up every so often to see if the moody skies would unleash rain on us, but somehow it was holding off!

Until the ceremony that is. Immediately when we arrived at the ceremony location, a beautiful off the beaten path mountain lake on a pass, the skies opened and it poured. The couple was well prepared with clear umbrellas, but the wind had other plans for those umbrellas and they were quickly destroyed. Michael threw his umbrella, held his new wife’s hands, and for their first kiss Becky threw her umbrella to the ground no longer caring if she was cold and wet or not. At this point we were all having fun and celebrating the newly weds.

After the ceremony we went to the infamous Kancamagus Highway for a few more stops at some scenic overlooks and trails. We were soaked, freezing, and could care less for how much fun we were having together. Even with the rain, it was a perfect day.
