White Mountain Elopement in Peak Fall Foliage: Heather & Tim
There is no better time of year to admire the beauty of the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire than in fall. The mountains appear as if on fire with the various shades of red, orange, and yellow mixed with the deep evergreens higher up the mountains.
Heather and Tim wanted peak foliage for their October elopement and they got all that and more. Their elopement day began at their AirBnb in Jackson, NH. Heather looked like an actual angel and Tim could not stop smiling after their first look! We captured some photos at the nearby Honeymoon Covered Bridge with Tim’s motorcycle before heading off to their sunset ceremony in Pinkham Notch.
When we first arrived it was overcast with low hanging clouds blocking the views, still beautiful of course with the colors at their prime. As we hiked up the short trail to the overlook and their ceremony began the clouds suddenly started parting allowing for rays of light to shine through and pastels streak across the sky. The sunset, with the foliage was one of the most beautiful sights to behold. Made only more beautiful by the love and passion from Heather and Tim quietly speaking their heartfelt and authentic vows to one another by the side of the cliff. They didn’t notice what was happening with the clouds, frankly they could have been in front of a landfill and they wouldn’t have noticed, because of how strong and true their love was.
We both shed a few tears for the emotion and nature’s show before us. Once the ceremony was complete the couple enjoyed a picnic of gluten free doughnuts and apple cider mimosas before heading down in the dark and off to dinner. We hugged it out so hard before parting, still in disbelief of how perfect the day was.
