Kancamagus Highway - White Mountain National Forest Elopement: Katie & Evan

It was pouring, and the clouds were hugging the rugged peaks - but what more could you expect in late April in the White Mountains of New Hampshire? There’s something beautiful about early spring rain in the mountains. Everything is so green - coming alive for the first time in months. It’s new, it’s exciting, and what better way to celebrate than with a cliffside elopement off the Kancamagus Highway?

Katie and Evan contacted us just three weeks before their elopement day. They recently moved to Portland, Maine from Florida because they simply fell in love with New England. To them, the move north made so much sense. To celebrate their elopement they wanted to feel wild and truly remote, Anton and I had the ideal place in mind.

Even though the weather was moody when we hiked to the cliff, as we neared the overlook, the clouds lifted over the valley exposing the wild and beautiful view below. Katie wore a simple, but stunning light blue gown which flowed in the breeze making her look like a goddess. To us, Katie represents sunshine, her smile could light up the world. Evan was grounded, extremely kind, and had a presence of calm about him. These two are everything for each other, and it shows.
