Rainy Autumn Concord Elopement: Katie & Dick

We were bubbling over with excitement at our first ever elopement. To top it all off we weren’t just celebrating the union of two adorable people who have been together for eight years (engaged for four years), we were also celebrating a new member to their family. Katie was nine months pregnant when her and Dick tied the knot. About two weeks after their beautiful Concord, NH elopement Katie gave birth to a sweet little baby boy.

And what did it do on the day of Katie and Dick’s elopement? It poured. I’m not talking about a heavy shower, I am talking about full out monsoon mode the entire day. Anton and I threw on rain pants, rain coats, and carried umbrellas to keep our cameras dry. We both looked ridiculous, but didn’t let that damper our spirits.

Katie and Dick didn’t seem to mind the rain too much either. Between Katie’s radiant smile and Dick’s light-hearted jokes the entire day flew by. We started off underneath the gazebo at Rollins Park, and we were all grateful that Katie booked it. During their ceremony I noticed that the rain picked up in intensity. Naturally.

The few special family members they invited were so sweet, they didn’t care about the rain either. After the ceremony we went over to Katie’s alma matter where she spent many years studying law. We were all soaked, freezing, but couldn’t have imagined spending the day any other way.
